Mid dim sum for the price

Very varying quality of dumplings but all freshly made, overpriced for what it was.

A couple of basic things seemed to be missing that I would expect from a dumpling oriented restaurant, like a really good dipping sauce with ginger and good fermented vinegar. Only one type of dumpling came with a little dipping sauce and it was bland.

There was black vinegar (not so fragrant) and soy sauce at the table, but no dipping dish. No chili oil at table but they offered to let me keep what was left on my plate from chili oil dumplings...

Napkins at table felt flimsy and cheap

When i enfered the rstaurant was empty but i was joined by multiple fruit flies buzzing around me while I ate, leading to a sub-par atmosphere.

The drinks selection was also unexciting with standard coca cola, beer, and "Lee's kitchen" water available - but no Chinese/asian sodas or WDL or anything.

叉烧肠粉 Char Siu Cheung Fun
3.53.5 out of 5

Rice wrapper tender and char siu from Lee's kitchen next doors is good but a little chewy. Scallions inside fresh and scallion oil tossed on sweet and fragrant Dipping sauce quite bland soy/vinegar mix - not enough vinegar for my taste.

红油鸡肉饺 Chili Oil Dumplings
2.52.5 out of 5

Dumplings and filling tasted fresh, but not a lot of filling or flavor. 3/5 Chili oil not particularly fragrant or spicy - pretty disappointing. 2/5

小笼包 Xiao Long Bao
1.51.5 out of 5

Freshly made but far too much dough compared to filling - almost entirety of the mouthful was dough. No noticeable amount of soup inside, and filling not rich / flavorful / fatty enough. Overall not pleasurable to eat.

烧卖 Siu Mai
3.53.5 out of 5

One or two big shrimps in each siu mai and the shrimp meat paste was firm (maybe a little too firm) and nicely savory, siu mai wrapper thin, quite large, nicely dressed. Overall a pretty good siu mai.
